Welcomes Spring with Annual Dinner |
| |
| Graduate students,
faculty and alumni gathered for the 5th
Annual Spring Dinner at Malozzi's Ballroom
in Schenectady. The Graduate Student Association
holds this elegant event each May to celebrate
the year's degree recipients and to honor
a faculty member with the Faculty
Award for Excellence in Graduate Student
Development. |

dinner, PhD students Andrew Davies and
Maria Tcherni teamed with Dan Goodspeed
to provide musical entertainment.

| GSA President
Kelly Socia thanked Dean Julie Horney for
her years of service to the School. She
will leave the University at Albany at the
end of the summer. Socia presented a photo
of Draper Hall the mat of which had been
signed by graduate students, faculty and
staff. |

Former
GSA President Andrew Davies presented
the Faculty
Award for Excellence in Graduate Student
Development to Professor Alan Lizotte.
Lizotte was given an award certificate,
a framed collage of photographs and a
compilation of letters from his students
- both past and present. |
