Spring
with Annual Dinner |

| More than 60
graduate students, faculty and alumni gathered
to celebrate a rite of spring.... the Graduate
Student Association Annual Spring Dinner.
This year's event was held at Malozzi's
Ballroom in Schenectady. |

Professor
Hans Toch accepts Faculty
Award for Excellence in Graduate Student
Development |
The
highlight of the evening came when GSA
Past President Andrew Davies presented
the Faculty
Award for Excellence in Graduate Student
Development to Professor Hans Toch. Excerpts
of a letter from former University at
Albany Professor Shadd Maruna recollected
the impact Dr. Toch had on Dr. Maruna's
education and career. As he accepted the
Award, Dr. Toch quipped that the honor
proves he is losing his intimidating edge. |

| Associate Dean
Marv Krohn, who is leaving the School in
mid-May, received a framed photo the mat
of which was covered with well wishes from
his students and colleagues. GSA President
Sara Berg closed the festivities, announcing
election results and passing the torch to
incoming President Kelly Socia. |
