Girls, Inc. Partnership Continues to Thrive
| |
| During
the fall semester, participants in the Girls’
Inc. program enjoyed a variety of activities
including a charity drive during which the
girls collected food and clothing donations.
In addition, inspired by UAlbany’s China
Semester, program coordinator Kaye Callender
invited two Chinese students to meet with
the girls and teach them about Chinese culture,
language and food. The girls also learned
how to say hello and count in Chinese. |

| In
January the girls visited the School of
Criminal Justice and toured parts of the
downtown campus. The spring semester will
also include a tea party to teach proper
etiquette and a session on personal safety. |
