Career Networking Know-How Workshop
Join the UAlbany Career Services office for an interactive workshop on networking skills, resume writing guidelines, business etiquette, and other career development tips.  Have your questions answered regarding your internship or job search needs.

Wednesday, September 19
12 noon to 1:00 pm
Husted Hall 302

This is a brown bag workshop.  Feel free to bring your lunch.  Beverages and dessert will be provided.
Space is limited.  RSVP to Diana ( by Friday, September 14.  

NOTE:  Attendance at this workshop is mandatory for students who wish to attend the “Speed Networking” Event on October 5th.

"Speed Networking” Event
Connect with representatives from a wide variety of agencies and professional organizations (see list of participating organizations below).  This event will begin with a fast-paced “speed networking” activity -- allowing every student to meet every representative.  Students will then have an opportunity to revisit those organizations in which they have the most interest.

Although this is not a recruitment fair, agency representatives may have information about upcoming job or internship opportunities.  So come prepared to talk about your skills, accomplishments, and career aspirations... and don't forget to bring copies of your resume.

NOTE:  Students who wish to attend this “Speed Networking” event must also attend the Career Networking Workshop on September 19th.

Speed Networking Agenda (subject to change):
4:00-5:00 pm -- Speed networking – Students will move around the room, during which time students and professionals will exchange information under tight time constraints.
5:00-5:45 pm -- General networking – Now that you know more about the individuals in the room, you can talk in greater depth with those who best fit your interests.
5:45-6:30 pm -- Reception – The School of Criminal Justice will host an informal reception for all event participants.
