Living in the Capital Region

New York’s Capital Region has much to offer. The area, which includes the cities of Albany, Saratoga Springs, Schenectady, and Troy, is rich in beauty, history and culture and is home to world class educational and research facilities and an emerging technology center known as Tech Valley that offers exciting career and business opportunities.

Within a short distance are the Berkshires, the Catskills and the Adirondacks. The Capital Region is only 150 miles from New York City, 175 miles from Boston, and 225 miles from Montreal, Canada. Bus, rail, and air terminals are all within fifteen minutes of the downtown campus.
