The Rockefeller
College Review (RCR) is a peer-reviewed, scholarly
working-paper series produced by Rockefeller College
graduate students. RCR is seeking contributions
from graduate students for next issue, which will
be published in 2005
Submission Guidelines
|
|
- While the manuscripts can cover a wide variety
of topics, the most appropriate submissions for this
series include papers that might eventually be submitted
to a journal or presented at a conference, as well
as stand-alone chapters of a book, dissertation,
master's thesis or research project. Course papers
may be reworked into a publishable format. Manuscripts
may use both qualitative and quantitative methods
and/or may address a substantive policy issue.
|
- Manuscripts should be 20-25 pages, excluding
the cover page, abstract and citations; double-spaced
with 1" margins and 12-point font. Abstracts
should be no more than 250 words. The cover page
should include all author contact information.
Please do not include author information in any
part of
the manuscript, except the cover page. Citations
should be formatted in APA, 4th edition. Authors
should submit five (5) copies of each manuscript.
Book reviews should be approximately 1000 words
in length.
|
- The deadline for submission is January
28, 2005. However, the process is “rolling,”so
you may submit your paper or book review at
anytime during the year. Once it is submitted,
the review
process will begin. For more information on
the review process, please visit our website
at:

The Rockefeller
College Review (RCR) is a peer-reviewed, scholarly
journal published by graduate students at the Rockefeller
College of Public Affairs and Policy. The purpose
of this series is to disseminate graduate student
research in the areas of public administration,
public policy and political science. As an RCR
reviewer, you will have the chance to:
- Learn how the peer-review processed works
- Gain valuable experience reviewing manuscripts
and offering constructive ideas on fellow student’s
work
- Find out what other students are researching
and writing
In order to qualify as a reviewer, students will
be required to read the training
manual, be able to meet the review
timelines and review a maximum of three articles
per academic year.
If you are interested in joining RCR Review Board,
or if you have any questions, please contact us
at: rockrev@albany.edu.
Please include your name, postal address, email
address, phone number, department and area(s) of

may also submit a paper to RCR, even if you are
a reviewer. Submitting papers has the following
benefits:
- Encourages the development of research skills
- Provides graduate students with an outlet for
their research and work(s) in progress
- Provides students with constructive and thoughtful
feedback on their papers that may be useful
in submitting to academic journals
- Enhances awareness of the types of research
being produced by the college
