Academic interests include public
opinion, interest groups, and political
parties. Her current research concerns
how the public regards opinion
polls and how polls are used in
policy making. Hildreth joined
the faculty in 1990 following two
years at the Public Opinion Laboratory
in Dekalb, Illinois. Publications
include co-authorship on "Poll

About How We Know What It Is Thinking," International
