Cornell’s Ingraffea Talks Energy Policy at Rockefeller

ALBANY, N.Y. (April 7, 2011) -- Anthony R. Ingraffea, Dwight C. Baum Professor of Engineering in the Cornell University School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, led a policy conversation on the shale gas debate at Rockefeller College on Thursday, April 7. Professor Ingraffea, an expert on hydraulic fracturing, explained the process of “hydrofracking” and highlighted a number of key policy issues raised by this unconventional and controversial energy technology.
