On Monday, April 21, New York Secretary of State Cesar Perales will be the keynote speaker at Historical and Contemporary Perspectives on Immigration Politics and Policy, a day-long conference presented by the University at Albany's Center for Latino, Latin American, and Caribbean Studies (CELAC) with support from Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy; the Latin American, Caribbean, and U.S. Latino Studies Department; the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences; the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at UAlbany (ODI); the Graduate Association of Political Science (GAPS); and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) at SUNY Central.

The conference, organized by Professor José E. The program runs from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall in the Campus Center on the uptown campus of the University at Albany, 1400 Washington Ave., Albany, NY. Admission is free to all students and members of the UAlbany community. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
