Open SUNY Textbooks has announced the forthcoming release of Guidelines for Improving the Effectiveness of Nonprofit Organization Boards of Directors, an open textbook by Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy Assistant Professor Yvonne D. Harrison and Vic Murray, adjunct professor in the School of Public Administration at the University of Victoria.
Open SUNY Textbooks, a grant- and library-funded initiative to produce and publish open textbooks by SUNY faculty authors, has finalized the list of 13 titles to be published next year.
This is the second phase in the innovative open textbooks program which has already published 6 open textbooks.
This pilot project, led by SUNY Geneseo, is a unique collaboration of libraries working to assist faculty in publishing open textbooks. Thanks to the support of the SUNY Innovative Instruction Technology Grant (IITG), participating SUNY libraries, and SUNY faculty authors, the Open SUNY Textbook program will publish this second round of additional high-quality open textbook titles during 2015.
The entire list of forthcoming titles for 2015 may be found at http://opensuny.org.
