Graduate Students Partner with College to Present Election Panel Discussion and Debate Watch, October 22
The Graduate Association of Political Science (GAPS) and the Public Administration Student Association (PASA) are teaming up with Rockefeller College to present a panel discussion and presidential debate watch on Monday, October 22.
At 8pm in Husted 202, three Rockefeller policy experts will discuss the hot topics of this year’s presidential election – from health care to foreign affairs. Attendees will hear from and have an opportunity to ask questions of Professor Michael Malbin, an expert on American politics and campaign finance; Assistant Professor Stephen Weinberg, an economist specializing in healthcare policy; and Assistant Research Professor Laura Gonzalez-Murphy, a political scientist with expertise in international affairs and immigration policy. At 9pm in the Husted Café, GAPS, PASA, and Rockefeller College will host a debate watch as President Barack Obama takes on his Republican challenger, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, in the last of three presidential debates of this election season.
Both events are open to all. No registration is necessary. Light refreshments will be served.
