CWGCS Director Dina Refki to Moderate Women's Law Caucus

Albany N.Y. (October 18, 2012) - Dina Refki, executive director of Rockefeller College’s Center for Women in Government and Civil Society (CWGCS), will moderate a discussion on the role of women in the judiciary on Monday, October 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Albany Law School, Room 200, 80 New Scotland Avenue, Albany.

The conversation will explore recent findings from the Center’s 2012 report on the status of women in state and federal courts. Participating in the discussion are five distinguished female judges. They will discuss their own path to the bench as well as issues pertaining to gender diversity.
The panel includes: the Hon. Karen Peters, presiding justice, Appellate Division, Third Department; the Hon. Leslie Stein, associate justice, Appellate Division, Third Department; the Hon. Ann Crowell, Fourth Judicial District Supreme Court justice; the Hon. Christine Clark, Schenectady County Family Court judge; and the Hon. Helena Heath-Roland, Albany City Court judge.
This program is jointly sponsored by Albany Law School's Women’s Law Caucus, the Capital District Women’s Bar Association Judicial Task Force and Diversity and Gender Fairness Committee, and the American Constitution Society.
