Rockefeller College Celebrates Alumni and Student Achievement
Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy at the University at Albany celebrated the achievements of its distinguished alumni and newest graduates May 16-18.
Alumni Dinner & Awards Ceremony
On Friday, May 16, the College hosted it Annual Alumni Dinner & Awards Ceremony at the New York State Museum in Albany, N.Y. Seven individuals were honored for their outstanding contributions in the areas of political science, public administration, leadership, and continuing professional development.
Graduate Recognition Ceremony
Rockefeller College honored the Class of 2014 at its annual graduate and undergraduate recognition ceremonies on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 at Page Hall on the downtown campus of the University at Albany, 135 Western Ave., Albany, N.Y.
On Saturday evening, May 17, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan delivered the keynote address at Rockefeller's graduate recognition ceremony. More than 100 graduate students were recognized for earning advanced degrees and professional certificates. This year's graduates represent a wide range of concentrations in the areas of political science and public administration, including public and nonprofit management, homeland security, local government management, information strategy and management, financial management and public economics, and organizational behavior and theory.
Undergraduate Recognition Ceremony
On Sunday afternoon, May 18th, over 200 political science and public policy bachelor's degree recipients were honored at Rockefeller College's Undergraduate Recognition Ceremony in Page Hall. Former Treasury Department Chief of Staff and Rockefeller College alumnus Mark A. Patterson, BA '84 served as guest speaker.
