Rockefeller/Bocconi Double Degree Program Offers MPA Students Opportunity for Study Abroad
ALBANY, N.Y. (May 21, 2012) -- The Rockefeller College Department of Public Administration and Policy recently welcomed Paolo Cancelli, manager of global alliances for Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, for a two-day visit to campus.

The purpose of Cancelli’s visit was to strengthen and advance the double degree program between Bocconi and Rockefeller. In 2010, the two institutions entered into an agreement that offers a select number of Bocconi graduate students the possibility of spending their second year of study toward their master’s in public administration (MPA) in the Rockefeller College Department of Public Administration and Policy. Rockefeller College MPA students also have the option of traveling to Milan to complete their second year of study within a master’s program at Bocconi University. Students accepted into the double degree program are able to earn a master’s degree from each institution.
Bocconi University has been ranked as one of the best management schools internationally and in the top five among European universities. Through its MPA program, The University at Albany is the only institution in the United States that shares this agreement with Bocconi. Since the program’s inception two years ago, three Bocconi students have earned their master’s in public administration from Rockefeller College. A fourth Bocconi student will travel to Albany for the 2012-2013 academic year.
