ALBANY, N.Y. (December 8, 2010) -- Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy honored five individuals for outstanding public service at the College’s 27th Annual Alumni Reception and Awards Ceremony, Thursday, December 2, 2010. In welcoming the honorees, their families and friends to the celebration at the historic Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government, Dean Jeffrey D. Straussman noted, “The awards program is our opportunity to celebrate the success of our graduates who have made important contributions to the public well-being, to thank our superb partners in this academic enterprise, to rekindle friendships, and to remind ourselves of the importance of the public service work to which we are dedicated.”
This year’s honorees include professionals from the executive and judicial branches of New York State government, a United Nations economist, and an accomplished entrepreneur who has made significant contributions to both the public and private sectors.
