Local to Global Opportunities
Experiential learning is at the heart of the Rockefeller College academic experience. Internships introduce students to a multitude of careers, work environments, and professional contacts, often leading to full-time employment after graduation.
The College’s location in the capital city of New York State is a great advantage to students hoping to gain hands-on experience in government and the legislative process. The New York State Senate & Assembly Internship Program offers students the chance to earn while they learn as a paid staffer for a member of the New York State Legislature. Students who enroll in the Semester in Washington Program earn academic credit and gain valuable experience living and studying in the nation’s capital. Rockefeller students have even landed exciting internship opportunities abroad in Africa, Asia, and South America. The Office of Career Development staff works with students throughout their experience at Rockefeller College and beyond to help them strategize how best to put their skills and interests to work.
