Applying to Combined & Dual Programs

Dual Degree Admissions

Applicants to the dual JD/MPA program must submit a full application for the MPA program, as well as a full application to Albany Law School.

Dual program applicants are subject to the deadlines and admissions requirements for both the MPA program and the Albany Law program respectively. Individuals may apply to both programs concurrently or apply for the MPA program as a first year law student. A student’s first year in the dual program must be completed at Albany Law School. The GRE will be waived in lieu of the LSAT, which is a requirement for admission to Albany Law School.

Combined Program Admissions

Rockefeller College offers the following combined degree programs:

The dual BA or BS/MPA programs are highly competitive.  In order for your application to be reviewed, you must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher, have completed 56 total credits hours toward your BA or BS, and have received a grade of B or higher in two quantitative courses.*  The best time to apply is during your junior year. The department only accepts BA or BS/MPA applications for fall admissionThe application deadline is June 15th, at which point all applications are reviewed.  An interview may be required.

*Meeting the above requirements is not a guarantee of acceptance into the program.  The program is highly competitive and selective.  As a result, the minimum level of qualifications of admitted students are likely to be higher than what is required to apply.
