Certificate in Public Sector Management
The Certificate in Public Sector Management is designed for professionals who hold or desire management positions and wish to enhance their formal management training. The five-course program of study explores critical structures and current topics in the following areas of specialization:
- Public Management
- Public Economics and Finance
- Local Government Management
- Public Policy
- Legislative Administration
- Information Strategy and Management
- Homeland Security
Coursework in each specialization includes topics related to general management principles, as well as the special concerns of the particular field. Each has a number of required courses and a number of electives, with the flexibility to substitute other appropriate courses based on a student’s background and experience.
How to Apply
Applications to the Certificate program are accepted for fall and spring admission. There are no formal course prerequisites for the Certificate in Public Sector Management.
