The Department of Public Administration and Policy provides graduate and undergraduate students an understanding of the institutional foundations and intellectual traditions of public administration and policy, the economic and financial issues central to public service, the use of data and models in decision-making, and fundamental principles of management.

The Department of Political Science has graduate and undergraduate degree programs focusing on the institutions, processes, and policies of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government. The focus is on the United States and foreign governments, their relationships among the nation states and, the theoretical and philosophical foundations of politics.
