Advance Registration

ADVANCE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Students admitted to the University are encouraged to Advance Register. Students not eligible to advance register are those whose admissions status precludes continued enrollment, are academically ineligible to continue, withdrawn, or students who have “holds” blocking their registration.   Holds preventing registration should be resolved prior to the time the student would otherwise be eligible to advance register.  Students are able to check for holds on the MyUAlbany home page under ‘Important Notices.’   

Eligible Graduate Students  may advance register at anytime once the Advance Registration period begins on March 23rd at 6:00am.

Degree-seeking undergraduates should view “When Can I Enroll” on MyUAlbany for the earliest time to advance register.  Undergraduate students register on a seniority basis, according to the number of completed credits. See the "Planning" tab on left side menu.

General Studies students (non-degree undergraduates) should contact the General Studies Office(518) 442-5140 for additional information. Non-matriculated (non-degree) students are encouraged to contact the appropriate admissions office if they have questions about their status or eligibility.

UUP eligible students using the ECRP waiver may not register for a UUP course during Advance Registration or on Final Registration Day.  (Please consult the Academic Calendar for UUP dates).
