Family Support and Youth Development

The School of Social Welfare has undertaken school and community service innovations, consultation, grant writing and demonstration projects. These include school-community-family partnerships through a series of collaborative initiatives with the Albany School District. In addition to developing some aspects of “full service schools,” SSW is partnering with United Way to feature school-based service innovations in its Family Support Network, promoting parent-led family resource centers, time dollar stores, and other family support and economic development strategies.
