Center for Public Health Preparedness
The Center for Public Health Preparedness is part of a national network developed by the CDC, Associations of Schools of Public Health, state and local public health agencies, and other academic and community partners to improve the capacity of the public health workforce, particularly in New York State, and to respond to current and emerging public health threats with a focus on bioterrorism, infectious disease outbreaks and natural disasters. The Center provides highly relevant emergency preparedness training, resources, and assistance to public health professionals and their community response partners. Educational programs are delivered in the most appropriate method for the subject and audience; including live and online courses, workshops and conferences, drills and exercises, satellite &/or web-based broadcasts, podcasts, and DVDs.
