Laura Hallgren Flynn received her MS in Literacy from University at Albany in 1998. Since that time she has worked as a reading teacher for Guilderland Central Schools. Laura has taught at the middle school and elementary levels. She is currently the Language Arts coordinator for Altamont Elementary School. Laura has been a lecturer in the department since 2002. She has recently started work on her PhD in Reading. One of Laura’s greatest passions is children’s literature. She is also interested in the ways children are encouraged to think, talk, and write about their reading.
