About Bonnie Walmsley...

Bonnie received a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University and her M.S. in Reading at Harvard Graduate School of Education. She has co-authored Teaching Kindergarten, A Developmentally Appropriate Approach (Heinemann, 1994); Teaching Kindergarten A Theme-Centered Curriculum (Heinemann, 1994), Kindergarten: Ready or Not (Heinemann, 1998) and Teaching With Favorite Marc Brown Books. (Scholastic, 1999). She has presented at national conferences and done workshops throughout the United States. She has taught Headstart, Grades 1 and 2; for the past eighteen years, she’s been a kindergarten teacher in Shenendehowa Central Schools (Clifton Park, NY). Her latest book, Welcome to Kindergarten (Heinemann, 2005), is co-authored with Debra Wing.
