The Project on Violent Conflict (PVC) is an academic research center based at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy located at the University of Albany, State University of New York (SUNY).
PVC’s mission is to advance the study of all forms of political violence, including the study of terrorism, insurgency, rebellion, as well as intrastate and interstate war. This mission is accomplished through multidisciplinary research and collaboration with other centers, universities, small businesses, and government entities.
PVC is currently working on multiple major projects primarily involving terrorism and insurgency and methods for countering them. Currently these projects are being funded by the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, and National Science Foundation.
