Version 1.4 6-1-99 (Dudek) o Merged Ethanol Drinking Data into Master13.sav file. o Thus the raw data file master12.dta is not updated for these ethanol drinking raw data. The plus maze and ethanol drinking raw data are in separate files - reference to them will be included in the future. Version 1.3 12-23-98 (Dudek) o Merged Elevated Plus maze data into master12.sav. o Thus the raw data file master12.dta is not updated for this plus maze raw data. The plus maze and ethanol drinking raw data are in separate files - reference to them will be included in the future. Version 1.2 7-3-98 (Dudek) o Raw, trial by trial, data are now available for the rota-rod test and the water maze test. o For rota-rod, the data are the ten individual trial latencies, a variable indicating number of trials on which "flattening" occured, and a variable indicating number of trials on which a mouse "jumped" off of the bar. o Water maze variables are the eight trial latencies. o An error in colum/decimal formating was corrected such that the activity variable, nmov (number of movements) is now correctly represented as a whole number, not one with a decimal place. ********************************************************************* Version 1.1 5-22-98 (Dudek) o Demographic and activity data for the Edmonton site's third replication are now included. These were the few additional animals available to complete some missing cells. Six new mice were tested, and their replication was coded as a three. o All demographic information has been doublchecked and some strain/sex/shipping errors miscoded in ver1.0 are corrected. o This version is complete for body weight on the cocaine test day. o Julian Calendar Birthdates are now included for the Portland site, but have not yet been entered for the Albany and Edmonton sites. o Portland Site A/J mice (MASTSNUM 3037 and 3038) have been recoded as Shipped rather than local on the SHIP variable. This corrects a miscoding. o The Portland site mouse numbers 85 and 86 (mastersnum 3085 and 3086) are 129 strain mice. Their baseline activity data is taken from the snum 129 and 130 mice, but cocaine activity is taken from the mouse# 85 and 86 activity files as per Pam's instructions in a 5-8-98 email message. The "extra" BALBs run mistakenly as 85/86 on baseline activity are not included in the data file. o Edmonton subject numbers 331 and 391 and 392 are not included in this data file. 331 (originally MASTSNUM 2063) was the singleton ++ female. 391 and 392 (originally MASTSNUM 2074 and 2075 ) were the missexed C57 males who should have been female, and were replaced by 661 and 662 females. o Both the Portland "extra" BALB and Edmonton ++ and C57 mouse data removed in this version are saved in the same structure as the main data file (not placed on the web site) and can be included in a later version if it is deemed appropriate. **************************************************************** Version 1.0. 5-18-98 (Dudek) o The initial version of the master data file is master10.dta. o It is accompanied by master10.sps which is an SPSS syntax file that can be used to define the data file structure in the SPSS program. o describe.txt describes the current structure of the data file, including the fixed file column assignments, variable names, and group codes (value labels) for nominal variables. o This first version includes all data from the baseline activity test, and the analogous data from the cocaine day activity test. o Data from all three sites are now available. o Checking of some data entry is not yet complete, so this data file version should not be used for strong inference. We will find a way to complete this data checking in a few days. o This version does not contain the body weight data for the drug test day from the Portland site. It will be added shortly. o I am attempting to find a method to derive a SYSSTAT system file. I should succed shortly.
