Presidential Awards for Undergraduate Research

The Department of Psychology congratulates four psychology majors who received Presidential Awards for Undergraduate Research:

Cyndel Carreau, a student of Dr. Ewan McNay, was awarded the Presidential Awards for Undergraduate Research.

Christine Jorge, a student of Dr. Ewan McNay, was awarded the Presidential Awards for Undergraduate Research.

Andrew Orayfig, a student of Dr. John Forsyth, was awarded the Presidential Award for Undergraduate Research for his project titled "Cultivation of Mindfulness and Acceptance Processes in ACT and CBT: A Randomized Clinical Trial in a Pure Self-Help Context."

Douglas J. Bennett, a student of Dr. Jeanette Altarriba, was awarded the Presidential Award for Undergraduate Research for his project titled "False Memories: Factors Influencing Rates of False Recognition."

Presidential Awards for Leadership

The Department also congratulates the following psychology students who received a 2011 President's Award for Leadership:

Outstanding Senior Award: Hillary Closs and Sarah Deane

Ada Craig Walker Award: Hillary Closs

Great Dane Award: Taylor Bulman, Sean DeMartino, and Lee Friedlander

Middle Earth Award: Ashley Huie

Five Quad Award: Shoshana Jacobs

Greek Leadership Award: Vincent Aponte
