Undergraduate Studies in Psychology

Overview
The undergraduate program in psychology at the University Albany prepares students for careers and graduate study in psychology or related professions, such as social work, public health, and education. The undergraduate curriculum for psychology majors emphasizes scientific and statistical reasoning skills that will help students in a variety of applied and basic research settings. Although many of our majors pursue graduate study in psychology, the psychology major is also a popular choice for students interested in a general liberal arts education and those seeking careers in law and/or business.
