Positive Family Intervention Project

The Positive Family Intervention Project is a collaborative effort involving The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities in Albany, New York and Tampa, Florida, as well as, the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg.

Is your child with a developmental disability behaving in a way that:

  • Endangers themselves, others or their surroundings?

  • Severely disrupts your family life and interferes with learning?

Are you discouraged because what you are doing does not seem to be working?

  • If so, participating in the Positive Family Intervention Research Study may be right for you

To be considered for participation in this study:

  • Your child must be between 3-5 years of age and have an identified developmental disability

  • Your child must be experiencing significant problem behavior (e.g., aggression, self-injury, tantrums)

  • You must be willing to participate in all aspects of the study (see center of brochure)

  • You must not have received extensive training or support in positive behavior support prior to starting the study
