EVIDENCE-BASED MODELS OF PRACTICE

 

There is general agreement across comprehensive intervention programs about a number of features of effective programs. The consensus across programs is strong concerning the need for:

 

Early entry into intervention programs

 

Active engagement in intensive instructional programs

 

Use of planned teaching opportunities

 

Sufficient amounts of instruction to meet individualized goals
