An Introduction to Positive Behavior Support

 for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders

 

Goal of the seminar: To provide participants with an overview of the positive behavior support process to better prepare them to develop effective interventions for students with autism spectrum disorders who display challenging behaviors.

 

Content of seminar: Each seminar will contain information on functional assessment (developing clear descriptions of behavior, collecting information, and developing hypotheses) and comprehensive intervention strategies (preventing challenging behavior, teaching new skills, and changing responses to behavior).

 

Target audience: School personnel (including general and special education teachers, administrators, related service providers, counselors, social workers, psychologists, paraprofessionals) and parents.

 

These seminars are provided at NO COST to participants.

 

Due to space limitations, pre-registration is required. No walk ins will be allowed on the day of the event. To register, please complete the registration form and return it to CARD.
