Remembering President Hall
On August 13, 2007, the one-year anniversary of the passing of Kermit L. Hall,
17th President of the University at Albany, we remember, celebrate, and pay
tribute to this dynamic and caring leader. In his eighteen and one-half months
as President, the pre-eminent scholar of American constitutional, legal, and
judicial history instilled within the University a renewed drive for academic
excellence, a commitment to enhancing campus life, and a deep understanding of
the University's global role. He did so at all times with unremitting passion,
energy, vision and vitality, as well as unforgettable touches of humor and
personal kindness.
