Volunteer Opportunities
Below is a list of volunteer opportunities. The first section has opportunities with a specific date and time, listed with the earliest projects first. The second section has projects that are ongoing, or without a specific date. If there are any mistakes on the current projects or projects that are not on this page, please e-mail Jason at ja473857@albany.edu.

One Time Projects/Opportunities:

Albany Medical Center Flu Day

On November 9th we need volunteers to the play the role as a patient with the Flu at the Albany Medical Center Emergency Department. There are two sessions, each of which is two hours long. The first session is from 8am to 10am and the second sesssion is from 10am to 12pm. Light refreshments will be served. 15 volunteers are needed for each session. Albany Medical Center EMS Training Class

On November 10th and 11th three volunteers are needed to work as accident victims for an EMS training course. Volunteers will play the role of anything from a stroke victim, to a heart attack, or even a simple drug seeker as well as many other scenarios. Ongoing Projects/Opportunities

Soldier and Iraqi Children Donation Drive

Certain items such as body wash, socks, phone cards, inexpensive electronics, personal CD players, instant cups of soup, phone cards, socks, toiletries, cars, dolls, action figures as well as many other items are desired. Items made of glass or in aerosol form are not acceptable. For example, shaving cream donations should be made in the gel form. A complete list of all acceptable items for donations can be founding by clicking here. The drive will run from October 22nd through November 16th. Items can be dropped off in the PHS Office (LC31). Every three donations will count as one comunity service hour, with a maximum of five earned hours for this project.
