Faculty are invited along with students, parents and alumni to celebrate Parents' Weekend, Friday through Sunday, Oct. 27 - 29, by enjoying many of the events happening all around campus.

The University Art Museum, Lecture Center computer rooms, the Uptown library, the new Campus Center addition and the Recreation and Convocation Center (RACC) will be open to parents and their student sons and daughters for visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27. At 5:30 p.m. the Just Community Dinner will be held, presented by the Multicultural Affairs Office of the Student Association. (Tickets can be purchased through the Association office.)
The popular University at Albany Bonfire and Pep Rally begins at 8 p.m. behind Dutch Quad, urging on the Great Danes to victory over Pace University, the game scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. Before that, at noon, is the Home-coming Parade, which begins at Dutch Quad parking lot, passes Collins Circle, proceeds to Indian Quad, and ends at the football stadium.
Alumni meanwhile will be gathering in the RACC parking lot at 12:30 p.m. for a special tailgate party.
Saturday night at 8 p.m. in the RACC, comedian George Carlin will perform his stand-up comedy. Tickets, $13 for students and $15 for all others, are available in the Campus Center Student Association ticket office, Room 116, and at Ticketmaster outlets.
At 10 a.m. on Sunday, the President's Breakfast concludes the Weekend's events, with President Hitchcock addressing the University community in the Campus Center Ballroom. Tickets are $6, and once again available through the Student Association ticket office.
