Writers Series. Tina Howe, award-winning playwright, will present the
Burian Lecture at 8 p.m. in the Studio Theatre of the Performing Arts Center,
main campus.
The Department of Educational Theory and Practice
will hold a meeting on the regulation changes in New York State related
to teacher preparation and certification (initial and professional), at
1 p.m. in the Campus Center Assembly Hall. The focus will be to review
the new regulations and their implications for the initial secondary teacher
education program at UAlbany.

Becoming Woman - A One-Day Conference: Sponsored by the Center
for Arts and Humanities of the University at Albany. This one-day conference
on the interaction among feminism, philosophy, queer theory and visual
and performance art will explore the concept of “becoming woman.” The conference
will be held at the Performing Arts Center Lab Theatre from 3 p.m. to 7:30

American Folk Art from the Metropolitan Museum
of Art at the New York State Museum. Works by Rufus Hathaway, Edward
