The University at Albany has many exciting
events planned to celebrate Black History Month. All are free and open

14, at noon in the Campus Center Terrace Lounge: a colloquy
on “The Art of West African Woodcrafting,” presented by Harry Bile,
owner/operator of African Culture and Craft Designs on Madison Avenue
in Albany.
Thursday, Feb.
14, at noon in the Campus Center Ballroom: H. Patrick Swygert,
president of UAlbany from 1990 to 1995 and now president of Howard University,
will be the keynote speaker at the 23rd Annual Martin Luther King Jr.
Luncheon.
