Professor John Braithwaite of Australian National University and a visiting professor at NYU will give a colloquium on “Restorative Justice and Responsive Regulation” from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Page Hall Lounge. Sponsored by the School of Criminal Justice.

September 6, Thursday
The University Council
will meet at 4 p.m. in the President’s Conference Room, University Administration Building, Room 437. Other meetings for the semester are Thursday, Oct. 25, and Tuesday, Dec. 4, in the same location, unless otherwise noted.

Professor Mark Raider,
chair of the Department of Judaic Studies and director of the new Center for Jewish Studies, will offer a talk on “Partners and Pacesetters: University Libraries and the Center for Jewish Studies” from noon to 2 p.m. in the Cobb Room (ULB-43). This is the first in the fall series of “Community Conversations” sponsored by the University’s Friends of the Libraries. Comment Sought
for Self-Study

The University at Albany’s School of Public Health, a partnership between the University and the New York State Department of Health, in affiliation with Albany Medical College and Bassett Healthcare, is undergoing a self-study for re-accreditation by the Council on Education for Public Health. A site visit will take place on October 1-3, 2001. Application procedures require that all affected parties, including students, alumni, faculty, and the practice community, have an opportunity to provide written input into the deliberations of the site visit team. Comments will be accepted until 30 days before the site visit.
