This directory makes some of the rich resources of the University at Albany available to the community at large and the media in a systematic fashion.

The publication lists University programs and offices, describes the many specialized centers and institutes, and names members of our faculty and staff who are available to share their expertise with the public.

Faculty and staff listed in the Resource Directory are available to appear before civic, social and community groups, and to provide their unique expertise, analyses and perspective to the print and electronic media. The Office of University Relations also subscribes to the ProfNet computer network and its Global Database, linking our experts to writers and journalists worldwide. To reach the Office through the Internet, the address is WW.Albany.Edu.

The directory is organized with faculty and staff specialists listed alphabetically, by subject. Entries include departments and specific areas of expertise. An index is also provided to make finding experts easier.

The University at Albany, established in 1844, is the oldest state-chartered public institution of higher education in New York.
