Purpose & Goals

To best maintain patron safety, University policy states no person shall park a vehicle on the premises so as to interfere with the use of a fire hydrant, fire lane, or other emergency zone, create any other hazard or unreasonably interfere with the free and proper use of a roadway or pedestrian way. Emergency situations include snow emergencies in which case special parking restrictions must be followed.

The University's long-range objective is to make the parking program self-sufficient. In this endeavor, the comprehensive/parking fees were established to cover expenses which could not be subsidized by tax dollars. Comprehensive/ parking fee rates are set based on estimated costs for parking and bus service, and charges do not exceed cost of facility/service operation
