Parking

Did you know?

• Decals are placed on the passenger side windshield. Opposite of your Registration/inspection stickers.
• License plates on your vehicle must match the plate number on your decal and if it doesn't you must return your current decal and get a replacement.
• For a decal replacement bring your current decal back and register your new vehicle for $5. Only if you return your current decal will you get your replacement for $5. All other replacements will be $25.00.
  Replacement decals cannot be ordered on-line.
• You get 10 FREE temp days if you have a current decal and you are driving a different vehicle to campus; or if you have a 2 car set up and forget your hangtag. Stop in the PMTS Office and get a TEMP Tag for that day without charge.

Guests

Guests must pay to park on campus. A temporary pass is $5.40/day to park in the student gold areas and is available at the Parking and Mass Transit Office or at the PMTS on-line site. Visitor Lot parking is $5 a day.

MyUAlbany

Check your MyUAlbany account at least once a week . Tickets have to be appealed within 14 days of issuance, so if you look at your account every week you should be able to appeal your tickets in time (if the vehicle is registered with the Parking Office).

Late Charges

Late charges are accrued on the 30th day from the date of issuance of citation. As of August 16th, 2011, any citations issued after this date and are appealed within 14 days, a late fee will be added on the 30th day after issuance of the ticket or 14 days after the denial of an appeal, whichever is longer. If the appeal process takes more than 30 days a late charge will be added 14 days after a denied decision is made. Citations can be paid while in appeal to remove a hold on your record; if the appeal is accepted the payment will be refunded. Paying a citation has no effect on the appeal outcome.

Inform family and friends about Parking Rules. You are responsible for tickets issued to family members. A hold will be placed on your academic records until the tickets are paid.

Handicap Spaces

Vehicles parking in a Handicap space must have a placard or handicap license plate from a Municipality AND a UAlbany handicap decal.
