Dick Sanderman -------------- Born 11.11.1956; married, 4 children. Studied at the Stedelijk Conservatorium (Municipal Highschool of Music) at Zwolle (the Netherlands). Summer courses with Hans Haselbock (improvisation), Daniel Roth (French romantic), Jean Guillou. Private lessons in improvisation with Bert Matter. Winner of the Dutch National Improvisation Contest at Bolsward, 1983. Recordings: (lp) Mozart Organ Works, (cd) Own Chorale Preludes at Garrels Organ Maassluis, Organs at Rijssen, Psalmen Instrumentaal (with the Arpeggio Trio), and lots of recordings as accompanist of choirs. Organ Concerts and choir accompaniments in European countries: Organ Festival Naples (1981), English Cathedral, Paris. Head of the Music School Rijssen; city organist of Rijssen for the organ in the town hall; organist of the Zuiderkerk (gereformeerde gemeente) Rijssen. Was president of the VOGG (Vereniging van Organisten der Gereformeerde Gemeenten). Composed lots of Psalm preludes for organ, also music for choirs. Contributed to the New Handbook for the Organist (1995, in Dutch). Write critiques of CD's for the Reformatorisch Dagblad. Published articles in several magazines for organists. Has a special interest for harmoniums. Owns three pressure harmoniums, built by Alexandre, Trayser and Kotiekywicz. Is one of the very few Dutch organist who performs harmonium concerts.
