Ron Pearcy ---------- Live in Napier, in sunny Hawkes Bay in New Zealand. Retired from education in 1994 .. had been principal of a local school for twenty years. Music is a major part of my life .. commenced learning classical piano in early teens and continued tuition for 9 years .. enjoy classics and light music of 20's - 50's .. enjoy extemporizing and arranging as I play incorporating sight reading and a good ear. Still use piano .. have 6' Yamaha grand and also Roland HP3800 digital piano but preference for many years has been organ. Recently upgraded from Rodgers C445 to 805B. This is a two manual classical organ with impressive features. Eight divisions are used. In addition to the standard set of two sub woofer and four normal speaker enclosures, the organ also drives two sets of Conn Pipes, together with two custom sets of resonator pipes, housed in a 9' x 7' organ loft immediately behind and about 12' high above the organ itself. The organ itself is installed in a large music room with sloping ceiling almost two stories high providing very good 'live' acoustics. The midi facility is well used .. the organ is linked to an Allen Expander II (later version with 60 presets) and also slaves the Roland HP3800 piano and an older Roland Sound Canvas 55 module. Sequencing is via a Roland MC50mkII. Have established a substantial library of classical and theatre midi files transcribed for Rodgers. I am very interested in exchange and keen to find other owners/users of Rodgers PDI organs especially those interested in midi file exchange. For audio recording a Sony miniCDRom digital recorder, Boss 8x channel stereo mixer and a 3 head Sony cassette recorder allow for high quality cassette production. I am very keen to interact and exchange material with others. Have played the beautifully restored 3/26 Wurlitzer installed in the Southward car museum near Wellington in New Zealand .. and occasionally play a small 8 rank pipe organ in a local church as well.
