Robert William Knupp (MUKNUPP@ECUVM.CIS.ECU.EDU) -------------------- Personal: Born in July, 1970. Education: His formal organ training began at age 16 with Jeffrey Pannebaker. He attended Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. While there, he studied with Dr. Susan Hegberg and Dr. Susan Dickerson. Robert was the Student University Organist for 2 1/2 years, and Susquehanna University Organist for two years. After graduating in May of 1992, Robert started studying for a MM in Organ Performance at East Carolina University. He is also an organ graduate assistant at ECU, teaching lessons to organ majors and minors. Robert has performed recitals in North Carolina and maintains a 3.75 grade point average in his academic pursuits. While choir organist, he performed in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and a concert at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. Robert's concert career started at this time with performances in Pennsylvania and New York. Employment: He is currently organist of First Baptist Church in Tarboro, NC. After completing his MM, Robert plans to study for a Doctorate in Organ Performance.
