J C Henderson ------------ Dr. John Henderson is Honorary Librarian to the Royal School of Church Music at their headquarters in Dorking [Great Britain]. Author of the book "A Directory of Composers for Organ" published 1996, he is an amateur organist and retired medic who is now doing a Ph.D. in organ music at Bristol University looking at organ recitals 1880-1930 and the works of E. H. Lemare. His particular interest is obscure organ music of the period 1850-1930 which he collects avidly and plays badly. He became hooked on the organ in his undergraduate years at St. John's College, Cambridge, when struck by the realisation that it had more potential than the classical guitar.
