Andres Gunther -------------- I was born November 02 1959, from German parents in Caracas, Venezuela. 1983 I did the Degree as Master Organ Performer, and received basic training with technicians from Detlef Kleuker Orgelbau. 1984 I started as pipe organ techncian in Caracas. The most important jobs were: 1986 - 1987 I restored three of our six Cavalle-Coll organs which are Artistic, Historic, and Cultural Heritage of the Country. 1987 I built a new facade for the organ from "La Candelaria" church in Caracas. 1988 I restored the Walcker organ of the Main Priest Seminar in Caracas. 1989 - 1990 I built the case, reservoirs and swellbox, and assembled the organ of the "San Jose" Benedictine abbey in Guigue, Carabobo state. 1998 - 2000 I rebuilt a late 18th century barrel organ from a grandfather clock which (supposedly) was property of king Louis XVI and Jerome Bonaparte and is now located in the presidential house "La Casona" in Caracas. In all these years I gave organ recitals and info conferences about the pipe organ; assisted several restoration and new organ projects; and was liturgical organist and choirmaster at "La Candelaria" (catholic) and "La Resurreccion" (Lutheran) churches in Caracas.
