Freshmen Students Should Bring:

1. Overnight Supplies - Bed linen or sleeping bag, pillow, alarm clock, toiletries & towels
2. Clothing - Informal clothing that is appropriate for outdoor activities and comfortable shoes.
3. Bring Sneakers! Significant walking and outdoor activity will be required; sandals alone will not suffice
4. Weather - Portable fan, umbrella, and other weather appropriate items
5. Photo ID - Necessary in order to receive your SUNYCard
6. Temporary Parking Permit - Display this on your dashboard if you plan to drive to Orientation, available in the confirmation materials sent to your UAlbany email address
7. Campus Map - Available in the confirmation materials sent to your UAlbany email address
8. Money - for vending machines or bookstore, if desired.
9. Your UAlbany ID, NetID and password
10. Your Questions and Enthusiasm!

Transfer Students Should Bring:

1. Photo ID- Students will need this to get their SUNYCard.
2. Temporary Parking Permit - Display this on your dashboard if you plan to drive to Orientation, available in the confirmation materials sent to your UAlbany email address. 
3. Campus Map - Available in the confirmation materials sent to your UAlbany email address.
4. Confirmation Materials - The materials in your confirmation email will have a lot of useful information that will help you at Orientation.
5. Clothing - Comfortable, informal, weather appropriate clothing and footwear. A significant amount of walking is necessary to participate fully in the program.
6. Meals - Lunch is provided for students as part of their Orientation fee. Parents/family members are able to purchase meals at several locations on campus.
7. Your NetID and password. 
8. Your Questions and Enthusiasm!

Parents Should Bring:

1. Weather Appropriate Clothing - Informal, comfortable, and weather appropriate clothing
2. Comfortable Shoes - A signifcant amount of walking is necessary to participate in the program
3. Temporary Parking Permit - Display this on your dashboard if you plan to park on campus, provided in your student's Orientation Confirmation Materials  
4. Campus Map - Provided in your student's Orientation Confirmation Materials
5. Lodging Meals are not included in the Parents Orientation fee.  Please bring cash to purchase lunch on campus if you wish.  Overnight options for parents.
