Freshmen Students Should Bring:
- Overnight Supplies - Bed linen or sleeping bag, pillow, alarm clock, toiletries & towels
- Clothing - Informal clothing that is appropriate for outdoor activities and comfortable shoes.
- Bring Sneakers! Significant walking and outdoor activity will be required; sandals alone will not suffice
- Weather - Portable fan, umbrella, and other weather appropriate items
- Photo ID - Necessary in order to receive your SUNYCard
- Temporary Parking Permit - Display this on your dashboard if you plan to drive to Orientation, available in the confirmation materials sent to your UAlbany email address
- Campus Map - Available in the confirmation materials sent to your UAlbany email address
- Money - for vending machines or bookstore, if desired.
- Your UAlbany ID, NetID and password
- Your Questions and Enthusiasm!
Transfer Students Should Bring:
- Photo ID- Students will need this to get their SUNYCard.
- Temporary Parking Permit - Display this on your dashboard if you plan to drive to Orientation, available in the confirmation materials sent to your UAlbany email address.
- Campus Map - Available in the confirmation materials sent to your UAlbany email address.
- Confirmation Materials - The materials in your confirmation email will have a lot of useful information that will help you at Orientation.
- Clothing - Comfortable, informal, weather appropriate clothing and footwear. A significant amount of walking is necessary to participate fully in the program.
- Meals - Lunch is provided for students as part of their Orientation fee. Parents/family members are able to purchase meals at several locations on campus.
- Your NetID and password.
- Your Questions and Enthusiasm!
Parents Should Bring:
- Weather Appropriate Clothing - Informal, comfortable, and weather appropriate clothing

- Lodging Meals are not included in the Parents Orientation fee. Please bring cash to purchase lunch on campus if you wish. Overnight options for parents.
