Mary Schimley

Mary came to Albany after beginning her career in higher education at Central Michigan University where she served as an Admissions Counselor. Later, she was responsible for developing autonomous service offices at Berkshire Community College where she served as Director of Financial Aid and later, Transfer Affairs. Mary currently serves as Director of Orientation at UAlbany. She derives great satisfaction working with our current students and creating programs and activities that assist each incoming class of freshmen and transfers to make a successful transition to the UAlbany community. Mary is a recipient of the 2005 Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service, a member of Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership, and also an avid UAlbany sports fan. "Go Great Danes!"
