Karla is currently a Quad Coordinator for Indian Quad, and is returning for her third year as an Administrative Assistant for Orientation. Karla earned her Master's Degree in Organizational Communication and her Bachelor's Degree is in Communication and Rhetoric, both degrees from the University at Albany. As a student at UAlbany, Karla was the President of UAlbany American Marketing Association and is also a member of the Communications Honor Society - Lambda Pi Eta. Karla has served the University at Albany in many facets, from Orientation Assistant and Resident Assistant, to Graduate Assistant and Residence Director, to currently Quad Coordinator and Administrative Assistant. Outside of work, Karla is involved in Alianza Latina, Albany Mentors Alliance, Habitat for Humanity and the Spirit Committee. Karla loves to ski, roller blade, listen to all types of music and be active. She has taken up sign language and would love to learn as many languages as possible. She is excited to meet all the incoming students and hopes for a successful year for everyone at UAlbany!
