"Professors are a valuable resource"

Major: Political Science
Minor: International Relations/Chinese
Hometown: Westbury, NY

Alicia's advice:

Getting to know your professors is crucial and can truly impact your future career aspirations. By doing research with my professors, doing an independent study supervised under a professor, and simply visiting office hours, I successfully gained experience toward my goal of working in International Affairs. By working closely with these professors, I have been able to go to free seminars, intern abroad, and get accepted to programs with students from top-schools. My interactions with my professors prepared me academically as well as help to build my confidence. These are the professors who are now writing my letters of recommendations for law school. My best advice is to view professors as a valuable resource and use your resources wisely!
