CSTEP Program
 Dear Student:
My name is Marc A. Carter, Program Coordinator for (CSTEP)-Collegiate Science and Technology Entry. I come to the University at Albany with several years of experience working with underrepresented students first at Siena College and then at Boston University. In addition, I possess professional experience in the field of technology at Lycos Inc. and MTV Networks Online.
This is an exciting time as you enter your collegiate career and are progressing towards choosing a professional career path. In today’s economy, it is the demand for talented science, technology, and health-related professions that continue to grow. This is why CSTEP encourages students like you to pursue a career in these cutting-edge fields.
My staff and I are committed to providing you with the opportunities to discover, achieve, and excel in your chosen academic area that will lead you to an exciting career field in science, technology, medicine, engineering, education, and law to name a few. Our team peer mentors are current undergraduates and graduate students who have already chosen their career path and who have dedicate themselves to providing you with assistance in choosing yours. Our team is in the process of developing a full range of support services designed specifically for your interests and will help you discover and explore future possibilities.
I invite you to come and introduce yourself.
Sincerely,
Marc A. Carter Program Coordinator, CSTEP, LSAMP, & UASRP
